The Steam Tracing and Steam Jacketing Experts
CSI provides ControTrace? steam tracing solutions to heat process piping, tanks, & vessels; and CSI provides ControHeat? steam jacketing solutions to heat valves and instruments used in the petrochemical, chemical, and processing industries. CSI also provides the SxSeal? above-ground sulfur seal solution, pre-insulated tubing bundles, and many more engineered thermal maintenance solutions.
The Estimator contacts clients to evaluate quote opportunities, establishes quote strategy, generates costing/pricing, and writes quote documents primarily for Small Plant Direct (<$100K) quotes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Contact client to evaluate quote opportunities for CapEx projects
? Clarify client needs regarding scope of work, project schedule, and project specifications after RFQ is received (primary focus is CapEx projects)
? Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for material costing
? Complete pricing of CapEx projects for CSI products/services
? Formulate offer strategy on CapEx projects
? Generate client proposal document on CapEx projects
? Organize and lead departmental reviews on CapEx projects.
?Act as team leader for Estimators and Sr. Estimators. Holds bi-weekly status meetings with team members. Delegates work to team members to ensure even workload
?Assist Estimating Manager with completion of strategic initiatives
?Review and formulate deviation responses to client terms and conditions for LPD/CapEx projects
Position Requirements:

Education and/or Experience
? Background in industrial/manufacturing applications is preferred
? 2 to 4 years experience preferred
? Mechanical engineering degree preferred
Language Skills
? Ability to create well-written, grammatically correct documents
? Effective communications skills to ensure good dialogue internally and with clients
? Comfortable while speaking with clients about technical concepts
Mathematical Skills
? Ability to complete calculations such as area, circumference, unit conversions, and simple financial calculations such as gross margin
Reasoning Ability
? Must be able to formulate effective strategy which allows for winning projects, achieving acceptable profitability, and ensuring successful downstream project execution
Computer Skills
? Microsoft Office with Excel knowledge

? Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
? Ability to properly prioritize tasks and work under pressure
? Ability to adapt to different personality styles

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
