Essential Functions:
Performs a variety of maintenance duties and tasks to maintain distribution center buildings and grounds and to meet GSF and AIB standards for appearance, cleanliness, and safety.
(45%) Survey building, and repair mechanical systems such as (forklift/pallet jack batteries watering) to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
(5%) Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.
).
(5%) Assist in the ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
(5%) Maintains air conditioning/heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality comfortable working environment.
(5%) Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
(5%) Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.
) Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
(5%) Undertake activities of pest control such as inspecting traps (5%) Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.
g.
landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.
).
(5%) Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other system repairs to maintain working condition of racking, doors, and dock levelers.
(5%) Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods as a maintenance technician.
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
(5%) Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
